Subsequent work undertaken by the Department, notably the Adopting a Wellbeing Approach to Assessing Climate Action in The Transport Sector paper, has taken a more holistic perspective on potential additional KPIs which measure the experience of walking, cycling and using public transport, including the following:

●Distance from public transport services

●Access to amenities within a 15-minute walk

●Affordability

●Road safety

●Perceptions of safety on public transport

●Local air pollution

It is intended to further build upon this work to develop more comprehensive and broadbased metrics to better assess the impact and outcomes of sustainable mobility measures in the next Action Plan.
