The National Archives catalogue record No. OPW 3/1/2 is titled Drainage Reports .This section contains reports by engineers on seventy six proposed drainage schemes across Ireland. Report No. 3/1/2/40 is titled Funshinagh (Roscommon) M.B. Hewson January 1848. Unfortunately this report and the other seventy five reports have been missing from the National Archives since 1999. A request for assistance was made to the OPW archivist, to date a response has not been received. This is a request under the FOI act to get a copy of Funshinagh (Roscommon) M.B. Hewson January 1848 and any other mid nineteenth century drainage records in the Lough Funshinagh area the OPW may have. I wish to have the material in electronic form. As you may be aware the land surrounding Castletown House (OPW) was bought by a private company in 2023. Reports from the OPW indicated that in September 2023 a "cease and desist order" was issued by the new land owner in relation to the main vehicular entrance at the M4 interchange. This meant that the OPW could no longer avail of the entrance and car park for visitors and staff. In keeping with the Freedom of Information Act 2014, I would be very grateful if you could release the following information please: The monthly cost of the scaffolding and construction equipment that has remained at the front of the house since September 2023. OPW reports suggest that this equipment has not been used since then. In October 2023 the OPW employed a Traffic Management (TM) company to be stationed at the Lime Avenue pedestrian entrance.
